Response of different rootstocks on vegetative growth, fruit and seed yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)

چکیده

In this study, different eggplant scion genotypes were grafted onto rootstock in order to assess the plant growth, development, and fruit yield of plants based on physiological morphological response mechanisms. The experiment was conducted at vegetable research field plot campus Faculty Agriculture, University Erciyes, Kayseri-Turkey. carried out determine shoot root fresh dry biomasses, height, total leaf area, chlorophyll index (SPAD), stem diameter, number fruits per plant, yield, matter, diameter length, seed thousand weight. Two cultivars (Topan Pala) two (Hawk K?ksal F1), while non-grafted used as control plants. laid a randomized completely block design (RCBD) containing three replications. results indicated that between significant (P<0.001) differences observed rootstocks utilized have influenced vigour ?Pala? ?K?ksal F1? registered 61.91% increment biomass 49.04% comparison Grafting height which reached values roughly 1.0 m, are resulting 5645.04 cm2 plant-1, SPAD 47.48 ?Pala/K?ksal graft combination grafting combinations also productivity compare significantly highest obtained from 4711.89 g followed by ?Topan/K?ksal with 3834.54 plant-1. produced 11.49 when 8.46 ?Hawk? rootstock.
